Yard of Ale, something no self-respecting pub should be without. This
“glasse of a yard long” has been around since at least 1685, said to
have been originally designed for stagecoach drivers who, always in a
rush, had to be able to drink from it while driving without letting go
of the reins! Cool looking and fabulous fun in the British and Irish
drinking tradition. You've seen (and maybe consumed) full yards of beer at your local sports bar, but we think they're a tad excessive. For one thing, nobody needs 42 ounces of beer or more in one serving. This one stands a full 15" and holds 23 ounces of beer.
