This is the newest range of the brand and was introduced to national distribution in the U. S. in late 2006. It is manufactured at Tabacalera Cubana in Estelí, Nicaragua, and comes uncelloed and packed in cedar cabinets of 20. The Don Pepin Garcia Black is an excellent value. This blend is the first blend made by Jose Garcia in his Esteli factory and is also the least expensive. The aroma of the Don Pepin Garcia Black is dry and spicy with a long and pronounced finish. The cigar is full bodied and full flavored with a nice balance and easy draw. The cigars are surrounded by a colored ribbon with a label attached which reads Don Pepín García and bears a facsimile of his signature.
The band is similar to that found on the Don Pepín Blue Label, but the background is black. There is a second band as well. This is a straight band with gold borders on a black background with the words Cuban Classic in gold.
If you enjoy a powerful smoke, this one is a must try.

Don (Jose) Pepin Garcia is arguably making the best cigars on the market. His secret family recipe for blending and fermentation has been handed down generation to generation since his family’s beginnings in old Cuba. Jose “Pepin” Garcia has become a popular name around the cigar community. Pepin is a master cigar roller and blender that started his career at some of the most prestigious factories in Cuba. Today he operates two of the world’s most popular factories in Miami and Nicaragua. Aficionados compare Pepin’s blends with some of the best cigars made in Cuba.
As one of the most premier cigar makers of the day, Don Pepin credits his
Series JJ line as the finest of all of his blends. Don Pepin Garcia received the rank of Tabequero Maestro while he was rolling and blending cigars in Cuba. It is spicy and robust with a rich full body. The Miami based factory that makes these cigars is very small, making their availability at times extremely limited. Don’t miss you chance to pick up a box while they are in stock!
