Creativity is certainly one of the most distinguishable qualities of Drew Estate. Its cigar blends have charted previously unexplored dimensions. Its packaging is easily recognizable for its use of unusual, bright colors and artwork. Placing loose tobacco in its cigar boxes is another innovation and trademark of Drew Estate. While living in Nicaragua, Drew continued experimenting with cigar blends by adding essential oils, herbs and botanicals. “We knew when we began making cigars that we would like to make cigars that were much more exotic than what was out on the market,” Drew says. Its unconventional RTDA Show booths have breathed life into the very traditional show floor. There's a lot of talented young blood at Drew Estate. From the top of the company to its newest hire, the people at Drew Estate are having a blast “losing themselves” in cigars, and the rest of us can only wait to see what they will dream up next.
“ACID is a cigar that appeals to an adventurous person”. The ACID concept represents a lifestyle intended to depict a person who is not afraid to explore the Earth or explore life, whether on a motorcycle or in his thoughts and expressions. This is a unique brand, introduced in 1999, that offers a herbal aromatic flavor in all of its shapes. The creative force behind this brand is industrial designer and artist Scott "Acid" Chester.
Each Chateau Real Drew Estate is handmade with a well-packed blend of Nicaraguan Criollo & Dominican Piloto Cubano long-filler tobaccos, Mexican San Andreas Negro Oscuro binder, and golden, mellow Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrappers.
A slight departure for the Nicaraguan based cigar maker, using only premium long leaf tobacco to create a smooth and creamy cigar that has no infusion.
he Java is one of the more recent Drew Estate concoctions. Coffee and cigars have been long time compliments but the Java really puts a new twist on this taste with a medium bodied blend that has strong espresso notes with hints of chocolate. While the cigar has dominating flavors, it still maintains a lot of its premium tobacco qualities from its Nicaraguan fillers.
Kahlua cigars infuse the exotic coffee liqueur flavor of Kahlua with a select blend of mild Nicaraguan filler, Sumatran binder and a smooth U.S. shade-grown Connecticut wrapper. The exotic coffee flavor of Kahlua, the licor delicioso, has been captured and imported into a premium cigar. Developed exclusively for General Cigar by Drew Estate, the innovative maker of infused flavored cigars, Kahlua cigars are unmistakably smooth and rich.
“A lot of people say that Natural is similar to ACID,” Drew says. “It's completely different. Natural cigars are based on gourmet blending and some of the blends are very traditional, but all of them have a pronounced and distinguishable flavor. Boasting rare tobaccos from up to 15 different countries, the Natural line has a unique flavor that has not been replicated in the cigar world.
