The Padron Fuma was one of the very first cigars ever made by the legendary Padron family. Initially, its distribution was for the local Miami market, put with growing popularity in their premium lines, these inexpensive mixed filler cigars were distributed nationally in the early 2000’s. Cigars like the Padron Fuma are typically referred to as cafeteria cigars in the little Havana area of Miami. Historically extra or excess tobacco was taken by the cigar rollers and rolled into inexpensive seconds in their spare time. These cigars were then sold locally at restaurants and cafeterias for pennies on the dollar. Today the Fuma is rolled in the old Cuban tradition with a flag or tail on the head and each cigar is made from secondary or excess tobacco from the factory. They are medium to full bodied with a damp and earthy aroma and long finish. This cigar is a real value from one of the world’s most premier cigar makers.
