The Dalmore Distillery

Established in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, Dalmore Distillery sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the rich and fertile Black Isle, the "big meadowland", from which it takes its name. For over 160 years, the distillery has produced malts of great character and distinction. The Dalmore Single Highland Malt Whisky Collection has won numerous, prestigious awards and is recognized as being one of the finest distilleries in the world. The distillery was bought by the Mackenzie family in 1886, and the 'twelve pointer stag' was introduced from their clan crest - a symbol that still adorns each and every bottle of Dalmore to this day.

Dalmore Classic Single Malt Scotch
The Dalmore Scotch combines the smoothness of the Highlands with a robust, full-bodied flavor and character. From Norse and Gaelic, Dalmore means "the big meadowland" referring to the rich and fertile Black Isle, on the opposite shore of the Cromarty Firth from the distillery. The pure waters of the River Alness are used to produce The Dalmore, producing some of Scotland's very finest Single Highland Malt whiskies. Oranges first, a sherry matured, malty, velvety, medium bodied after dinner contemplative malt, very enjoyable and borderline ace.

Dalmore Cigar Single Malt Scotch
Aging in oloroso sherry wood appears to be the secret to the cigar-matching beauty of Dalmore Cigar Malt, a new single malt scotch specially crafted by master blender Richard Paterson to pair with cigars. This outstanding taste is a perfect accompaniment with the finest of tobacco - both compliment each other. However, to fully appreciate these fine attributes time must be allowed in the mouth - the repository of knowledge and fulfillment. Initially promising on the nose; this is tarier and should appeal to a cigar man, the Dalmore signature of oranges turns to lemons, but with time the whole thing turns to a bit of a lemon.
