Back in the 1700's a Baptist preacher from Kentucky, by the name
of Elijah Craig actually invented the process of aging whiskey in charred oak
barrels. How Bourbon Whiskey got its
name "The name is due to the fact that the first whisky distilled in Kentucky was obtained from ground maize at the mill of one Elijah Craig, in Georgetown, Bourbon County. It was called Bourbon County Whisky at first, and the name Bourbon Whisky has been used ever since for whisky distilled wholly or chiefly from maize."
André Simon

Elijah Craig Bourbon 12 Year Elijah Craig 12-year-old is a true Small Batch premium Bourbon, and had that distinction before the term even existed. Bottled exclusively from a dumping of 100 barrels or less. Perfume and clover honey fill the nose. This is deep and rich in structure. Well-integrated elements combine with a high alcohol feel. Still perfumed at the end. Best served neat.
