Hine - When young Thomas Hine left the little village of Beaminster in Dorset, England in 1791 for the faraway Cognac region of southwestern France, he had no idea that he, an Englishman, was destined to spend his life developing one of the most distinguished Cognac firms in the world, the firm which today continues to bear his family name and to ship its Cognacs to more than 150 countries.
Discover the singular pleasures of handcrafted, long-aged Cognacs, and a Cognac dynasty dating to the 18th century with a visit to Cognac Hine. After your tour, relax with a snifter of your favorite Hine blend and a good cigar.
Aged an average of 45 to 55 years, Family Reserve is made of Cognacs from the Grande Champagne district only. It carries on a tradition established by previous Hine generations, who reserved small batches of a specially created blend in their cellars, appropriately named Paradis:
The VSOP expression is floral and vibrant on the nose, yet rich enough to be an
admirable cocktail base. An harmonious blend of 20 cognacs aged for a minimum of 4 years, from grapes grown in the Grande Champagne and the Petite Champagne, the 2 finest crus in the Cognac region. Hine Cognacs have a reputation for finesse, complexity and consistency, this release is no exception. H by HINE VSOP is superb on its own as well as being the perfect base for many cocktails both long and short.
HINE Rare Cognac
Blended exclusively from Cognacs of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, the two highest quality growing districts in Cognac. Rare & Delicate is aged an average of eight to ten years, far longer than required at the VSOP level. According to Bernard Hine, the taste is forward, balanced by overall structure and a long finish. The nose reveals intense fruit and floral aromas. On the palate, it has a long, mellow and well structured finish.
