John Jameson founded his whiskey distillery in Dublin in the year 1780. The cork distillers Company joined forces with their rivals John Jameson and John Powers to form the Irish Distillers Group in 1966. The Midleton distillery built by the Irish Distillers is producing now most of the Irish Whiskey
sold in Ireland.
Jameson Whiskey is produced from a mixture of malted and unmalted Irish barley. Malted barley is barley that has been allowed to germinate by steeping it in water. The
barley is then dried in a closed kiln to preserve its clean malty flavors.
JAMESON Irish Whiskey
Irish whiskey is believed to be one of the earliest distilled beverages in
Europe, dating to the mid-12th century. Deep golden-amber hue. Rich woody
aromas. Full-bodied, with rich brown spice flavors and bourbon like sweetness
through the finish. A rich, mature and mellow style.
Yellow-gold hue. Delicate floral aromas with grainy notes and heat. Light-bodied, very smooth and clean, with a touch of astringency on the finish betraying the grain character.
Balancing the exact proportions of triple distilled Pot Still Whiskeys and
then triple distilled Grain Whiskeys to deliver exceptional smoothness. Balance
the sweet, nutty flavor from Sherry casks with the toasted wood and vanilla
notes from Bourbon casks.

What happens when Jameson Original is aged in oak casks that have been seasoned with craft Irish stout? The answer lies in this limited release Jameson Caskmates. The Jameson Caskmates release is a unique whiskey that has been made with the help of Cork's Franciscan Well brewery. Barrels that had been previously used for Jameson whiskey were taken to the Franciscan Well Brewery to use in the ageing of their full-bodied craft stout. Once used for beer maturation they were sent back to the distillery where Jameson whiskey that had already been aged was filled into them for a finishing period.
Experience the culmination of this collaboration before this experimental
edition whiskey is gone. Due to the exclusive nature of this Irish Whiskey, stocks are limited.

Part of a series highlighting the contributions of members of the New Midleton
Distillery team, Blender's Dog showcases the master blenders palate, Ger
Buckley, the Master Cooper; Brian Nation, the Master Distiller; and Billy
Leighton, the Master Blender, combining multiple casks to create a fruity and
buttery dram. On the palate, the whiskey has a creamy texture, this serving as
the foundation for a very well-balanced flavor profile. Caramel and butterscotch
play off pears and honey, with a slight current of oakiness. The taste takes the
aspects of the nose and pushes them one step wider and deeper, steeping up the
complexity. Very creamy and smooth on the palate; expect replays of dried fruit
followed by a lengthy and complex finish.
JAMESON Irish Whiskey
18 year old
Jameson 18 Year Old Special Reserve is matured in hand selected oak casks. Our
journey begins with three beautifully matched whiskeys. Nurtured for at least 18
years in hand selected American barrels and European oak casks, they are
finished in first-fill bourbon barrels where they complete their rite of passage
and add subtle traces of vanilla on the palate. Once matured to perfection, the
result is an exceptionally balanced whiskey with a mellow complex taste and
lingering finale of wood, spice and toffee. Whiskeys like this just don’t come
along every day, which is why each bottle of Jameson 18 Years Old Limited
Reserve is individually numbered.
Nose: Aromatic oils with a touch of wood and spicy toffee.
Taste: Wonderfully mellow and smooth, a mouthful of complex flavor - fudge,
toffee, spice, hints of wood and leather, vanilla and a gentle sherry nuttiness.
Finish: A long, lingering finish carries the theme of the wood, spice and toffee
right through to the end.
