Sailor Jerry Rum
Sailor Jerry Collins is the most famous tattoo artist of all time. He was the
first to go to Japan to learn the sacred art of tattooing back in the 20's. He
set up shop in the 30's tattooing sailors with his distinctive designs. There Used to be more Sailors in the World.
Sailor Jerry was tagged with the name Norman Collins at birth, but he began to distance himself from normalcy/ normancy when he was 19 (that's why he became a sailor). He traveled around the world, not only getting his first tattoos, but also gaining exposure to the art and imagery of Southeast Asia. This later became a crucial influence when he opened his first tattoo shop in Honolulu's Chinatown, ground zero for swaggering sailors, drunken soldiers and whoever else wasn't afraid to hang around volatile levels of testosterone.

Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy Rum is based on Sailor Jerry's own personal recipe. It's higher in proof and spiced with a hint of cherry. Strong, but goes down smooth. So many a sailor got creative and came up with his own special recipe of spiced rum. It made the long days on the seas go down easier. And shortened the wait between ports of call.

After collecting old recipes and late nights of taste testing, we developed sailor jerry spiced rum. A 92-proof blend of caribbean-style rum with vanilla, lime and other spices. Like a true sailor rum, it's strong but goes down smooth. We think you'll like it.

A decade ago sailor Jerry Collins started this venture with the shirts off our backs and the blessings of the two of norman “sailor jerry” collins' protégés, who he charged with taking care of his legacy.
But, after five years, they were selling shirts, jackets, socks and ash trays…
they felt something was missing.
Booze.
So they decided to make their own, but it had to be consistent with the bold spirit and high standards of sailor jerry.
