Scottish Barley showcases the supreme elegance of this remarkable single malt -
a union of the classic floral elegance of Bruichladdich and heavy peat. This
whisky is a testament to belief that raw ingredients matter. Trickle distilled
from 100% Scottish Barley the spirit gently matures in the lochside village of
Port Charlotte before being bottled at the distillery using Islay spring water.
Port Charlotte Scottish Barley
The texture is extraordinarily rich with a huge depth of character. The
smouldering heat of peat fires pulls you into a whirlpool of islay flavors and
aromas but with such finesse that you welcome the storm. It's long and
heart-warming, arousing feelings of pride and passion. It brings courage and
strength, honesty and faith to your very soul.

Technically, Scotch is whisky that must be
produced in Scotland, made from mostly malted barley and aged in oak barrels for
three years or more. (The number following the name on a bottle of Scotch tells
you how long it was aged.) Some Scotch tastes a lot like bourbon, but with a
signature smokiness that lingers at the tail-end of a tasting. For this reason,
some people avoid it, but for others, the acquired taste only makes the
experience better. A blended whisky is actually a combination of a barrel-aged
malt whisky (as in all barley) and some quantity of grain whisky (a whisky made
with barley as well as other grains).
