soft water, fertile soil and acres of precious peat makes this Island a place of
pilgrimage for the single malt whisky faithful. The small, remote Scottish
island of Islay is an antique land. A wild and untamed place, where Celtic monks found refuge from raiding Norsemen and early distillers smuggled their illicit ‘aquavitae’ at Ardbeg’s rugged rocky cove. And none more so than
their very own Ardbeg, unquestionably the greatest distillery on earth.
Ardbeg Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 10 year Old
Amber with pale gold highlights. Big-bodied, dark and pungent, good, solid peat character and an underlay of rich lemon zest citrus, dry, but with a hint of sweetness, round with a delicate note of iodine. Full-bodied, earthily, smokily peaty and rich with touches of coffee/chocolate and tarry rope/creosote. Long, tangy and quite pungent, the citrus notes reprise, together with dark chocolate and a little seaweed.

Ardbeg Ardbog Single Malt Scotch Whiskey
Ardbog, a whisky that celebrates the plethora of peat bogs that cover a large amount of Islay, Scotland. Ardbog is aged the same length as Ardbeg’s main 10 year offering and is a combination of whisky from American oak ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Spanish Manzanilla
