The Singleton of Glendullan
Single Malt Scotch The Singleton single malt is distilled at Auchroisk Distillery. The malt was given the "Singleton" name because the anticipated difficulty, on the part of the consumer, of pronouncing the name of the distillery. Auchroisk, pronounced "orth-rusk," means "ford across the red stream" in Gaelic. It was opened in 1974 and is located between Aberlour and Keith on Highway A95. The distillery is relatively new, but has amassed numerous awards, both for its produce and its facilities. All the Singleton produce is used exclusively for the single malt consumer and has been available since 1986.
Singleton of Glendullan Single Malt Scotch Fragrant, grassy and fruity, this clean-tasting malt comes from the heart of Speyside. Singleton makes it slowly, traditionally, with selected barley and pure water from the high hills above the glen. Long ageing in a perfect balance of European and American Oak casks then lets The Singleton of Glendullan develop its smooth, rich character.

Singleton Auchroisk Distillery
Auchroisk is one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland.
It was founded in 1974 and their first single malt was sold at a barely legal
age in the UK in 1978. That sort of makes it the Arran of it's day, I guess.
The official bottlings have been marketed under the name 'The Singleton'
since 1986, probably because they deemed Auchroisk to be too much of
a tongue twister for the average 2nd millennium punter.
