In no

barley, and yeast. The uniqueness of the Single Malt come from external factors
during the distillation and ageing. First, the barley is malted and then dried.
Drying is done with a variety of products from wood and coal to peat. Peat will
impart a smoky flavor in the barley grains, More peat, the heavier the smoke.
The Barley is then mashed and distilled. Once the whiskey is distilled, it is
placed into casks to age.
